When I started Astor & Orion, I got to live out my passion for design in every piece, creating intricate symbolic jewelry that represents everything that matters to me.

While this imagery is called the “evil eye,” its purpose is actually one of reflection, deflecting the curse of someone else’s “evil eye” away from you.
Our Evil Eye Charm Necklace pays homage to the leagues of cultures that use one form or another of the evil eye.
Believers in the curse of the evil eye feared that, in times of personal success, the jealous stares from those around you could curse you to misfortune. The symbolism of this reflective eye was meant to protect you from this bad energy.

I love the idea of a protective serpent safeguarding your heart, granting you the wisdom to follow your heart and trust your intuition. That was the inspiration for our Wise Heart Silver Charm Necklace.
Through their gods, Hinduism characterizes serpents as fearless, powerful, and bringers of rebirth and prosperity. And I believe that serpents are fearless and powerful, the perfect symbol of channeling your own wisdom.
